My Furever Friends

To start off, I'd like to introduce you to 2 of my own rescue friends that inspired me to create this blog.  Two years ago, my grandpa passed away and it was the first family member in our family to pass.  I felt a piece of me missing ever since until I found our first dog, Mochi. Mochi is a Maltese Shih Tzu and we found him from 1 Love Dog Rescue. We named him Mochi after my grandpa from my Japanese side, as he loved making mochi every year for the Japanese New Year.  The picture on the left is when we first adopted him and the picture on the right is him at 2 years old.

For our second dog, we also just recently lost my grandpa but on my father's side. We knew how much Miso turned out lives around so we knew what to do.  We found Miso on the same site as Mochi and instantly they were best friends. On the left is a picture of Miso at 2 months when we first brought him home and on the right is a picture of him at 1 years old today.

We not only rescued these two dogs, but they rescued my family by making us stronger and helping us get through our loss. The only thing that we struggled with in the beginning is not knowing enough about them.  Knowing more information about whether or not they need a lot of attention or are independent.  Also, not knowing around how big they will be when they are full grown.  We had a lot of unanswered questions and had to go to multiple sites in order to find an answer.  To make the process of finding a rescue dog faster and easier, I created this blog to do just that.

Welcome! Please make yourself at home! I promise I don't bite!

Love can't be bought, but you can rescue it! This is the start of your journey to finding your furever friend(s). I found mine, and now it's time to find yours! You never know, you may think you're rescuing a dog but really they're the ones rescuing you.
